Sidekick is a confidential helpline for young carers in the UK. We support young people aged 13-18 (up to 25 for SEND). They can message us any time, about anything that's bothering them as a young carer and a qualified support worker will reply within 24h during opening hours. We are able to provide support with but not restricted to: Emotional support / helping with how they are feeling; Any practical questions like how to do jobs round the house; Finding out about any grants they may be able to get; Help with talking to teachers / other professionals they may see; We can help with filling in forms and making phone calls for them; We can help find more support for them and their family; We can talk through if they are struggling with school or homework. Sidekick is a non-crisis service.
An online national service covering the UK. Opening hours are: Monday 12.30pm to 7.30pm; Tuesday 9.30am to 4.30pm; Wednesday 9.30am to 4.30pm; Thursday 12.30pm to 7.30pm; Friday 9.30am to 4 pm
